بی آئی ایس پی کی اہلیت 8171 پر چیک کرنے کا آسان طریقہ
8171 Web is an independent guide. It does not belong to the Benazir Income Support Program (BISP) or the government of Pakistan. It also cannot see your real record. یہ ویب سائٹ بی آئی ایس پی یا حکومتِ پاکستان کی نہیں ہے۔
What BISP 8171 means
BISP is Pakistan’s federal cash-support program for low-income households. It began in 2008. Today it runs several schemes under one name.
Benazir Kafaalat gives regular cash support, usually to an eligible woman in the household. Benazir Nashonuma backs nutrition for mothers and young children. Benazir Taleemi Wazaif supports school attendance.
Where 8171 fits in
The number 8171 is a four-digit SMS code. It is also the name of the official web portal at 8171.bisp.gov.pk. Both take your CNIC and return your status.
BISP makes the decision. This site only helps you reach the right channel with the right number. Read how 8171 Web works.
How BISP decides who qualifies
BISP looks at households, not single people. It stores household data in the National Socio-Economic Registry (NSER). It then gives each household a poverty score through a proxy means test.
A lower score points to higher need. The score uses living conditions rather than income alone. Public guides mention dependents, assets, and housing. Only BISP can say how it weighs them.
BISP also sets the cutoff score, and it can change that cutoff. This is why a family may qualify one year and not the next.
The dynamic survey
A dynamic survey adds a new household or updates an old record. You complete it at a BISP office. Bring your original CNIC, and bring children’s B-Forms if staff ask for them.
The survey should cost nothing. Never pay an agent to do it for you.
Three ways to check your status
Pick the one that fits your phone, your data plan, and your time.
| Method | What you need | Good to know |
|---|---|---|
| SMS to 8171 | Your 13-digit CNIC without dashes. Any mobile phone works. | No internet is needed. The reply comes from 8171. Ask your network about SMS rates. |
| Web portal | Your CNIC and the captcha code on screen. | Use only 8171.bisp.gov.pk. Your status appears on the page. |
| BISP office | Your original CNIC. | Staff can check your record and run the dynamic survey in person. |
How the 8171 check works
Follow these four steps in order. Only step three reaches official records.
Read your CNIC number from the card
A CNIC has 13 digits, printed in a 5-7-1 pattern. Copy it from your own card, not from memory.
Test the number on the tool
The CNIC check tool catches missing digits and typing slips. It runs in your browser and sends nothing out.
Choose a channel
Send the digits by SMS, use the portal, or visit an office. The table above shows what each one needs.
Act on the reply
The reply is your result. The next section explains the common answers.
What the reply may mean
BISP changes its wording from time to time. Treat the message you receive as the official word.
| Type of reply | What it usually signals | Your next move |
|---|---|---|
| Eligible or listed | Your household meets the current criteria. | Follow the message for payment details. |
| Not eligible | Your record does not meet today’s cutoff, or the data is old. | Ask a BISP office whether a new survey would change the result. |
| Survey needed | BISP has no current record for your household. | Visit a BISP office for a dynamic survey. |
Why a check goes wrong
- A typing error. One wrong digit returns the wrong answer or none at all.
- An old survey. Some public guides report that payments pause when household data is out of date.
- The wrong household member. Records follow the household, and payments often go to the eligible woman.
- A card problem. An expired CNIC, or details that differ from national identity records, can block a match.
- A weak signal. SMS replies can arrive late. Wait before you send again.
